Bell brings Gabon to Nexus

All roads led to Nexus Bar in Najjera where Bell Lager hosted Cranes fans to a viewing party of the first national team match against Ghana’s Black Stars in the ongoing competition in Gabon.

Ugandans had been anticipating the game and the venue was filled to capacity by kick-off time, with many taking to social media to comment about Gabon being at Nexus due to the insurmountable traffic. On entry, revelers were assured of free face painting with many opting for the Uganda flag.

The event featured a surprise half time performance by avid football enthusiast, Bebe Cool. He performed his recent songs namely Azina Asekka, Kabulengane and Sente.

Despite the lone goal scored by Ghana owing to a penalty in the first half, the fans remained enthusiastic and cheered on the national team playing thousands of miles away. They continuously blew hard on their vuvuzelas and chanted words of encouragement.

The beer flowed endlessly throughout the night thanks to Bell. The game ended in a win for Ghana but many fans could be heard praising the fans for an enviable performance.

For those who participated in the Predict & Win game, there were a number of cool Bell prizes up for grabs.
