He joined UBL in 2012 as Head of Customer Marketing and has grown through the ranks. This includes a 5 year stint based in London with Diageo (UBL parent company) working with Global innovation Team where his last role was Head of Innovation Commercialization for Diageo Africa. On is return to UBL, he lead the marketing function as Marketing & Innovation Director for 3 years before assuming his current role as Commercial Director responsible for Sales, Route to Consumer/Distribution, eCommerce & Customer Marketing.
Prior to UBL, he started out his career with Unilever working in marketing and sales roles including leading the marketing department as Country Marketing Manager - Uganda and running the Rwanda & Burundi Unilever operations as Regional Sales Manager.
Emmy is a collaborative leader who is passionate about growing customers, brands and people with a strong sense of values and ability to make an impact. Emmy loves running, travel, reading books and football. Emmy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from Makerere University and has completed several leadership development programs including the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at the Strathmore Business School.
