Special Projects
These are broadly defined as ‘national emergency incidents that would add value to the community’.
Some of the most recent projects we have invested in include:
- A cash donation of Ushs 50 million to resettle the people of Bududa following the 2012 landslides.
- A donation of water purification tablets and sanitation kits worth Ushs 30 million to victims of the Kasese floods in South Western Uganda in 2013.
- A staff driven initiative in support of the Congolese refugees who had crossed into Uganda due to an insurgency in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2013, where staff donated items in form of clothes, blankets and bed-sheets to assist the refugees who were camping in various locations in Western Uganda
