Alfred is in charge of management and accountability for all activities from demand forecasting through manufacturing and the supply chain to the customer. This includes the management of brewing & packaging units in a cost effective way, whilst delivering high quality products using imported and local raw materials. It also means accountability for Procurement.
A seasoned commercial professional, Mbugua joined East African Breweries Limited (EABL) in May 2013 as the Group Finance Controller before transitioning to Uganda as Finance Director in October 2015. Prior to his new appointment, Mbugua was Head of Sales at Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), EABL’s biggest sales division in East Africa, a role that he held for 17 months.
While in his role at Kenya Breweries, Mbugua is credited for leveraging his expertise in finance and strategy to reorganize the sales and distribution function, creating a results-oriented team reenergized with agility and urgency. He transformed KBL’s bottom-line performance in Nairobi and environs.
As Finance Director at UBL, Mr. Mbugua played a critical role in driving business performance platform by creating a delivery-oriented culture and enabling impactful synergies that set the pace for UBL’s growth. During his tenure, he was recognized as 2017 CFO of the Year and also took home the Strategy Execution Award at the Annual CFO Awards organized by the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Deloitte Uganda.
Mbugua possesses a wealth of experience, having held senior roles in various sectors including oil and gas, logistics and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geospatial Engineering and Master of Commerce Degree in Development Finance. He’s also a certified member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Ben is in charge of defining the Company sales strategy to achieve effective implementation of the UBL marketing plan. To direct, control, motivate, lead and train the UBL sales operation to achieve agreed sales, distribution, and market share and performance objectives through the effective management of both Distributor and Retail sales operations.
Busola provides strategic leadership and guidance to the business and manages all financial aspects of company strategy and flow of financial information to the chief executive, the board and, external parties such as investors or financial institutions.
Catherine Leads and manage the end to end people/HR agenda within to ensure the business objectives are achieved through the utilisation and deployment of the programmes, tools, policies and frameworks that drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
